Trust In The Lord

Breaking - Coronavirus Disease - #Covid19 #Coronavirus

The media has saturated us with news and constant updates about the Coronavirus pandemic. Our lives, for a period of time, are facing radical changes in all of our daily routines and work environments. These changes are happening quickly as our leaders work to prevent the spread of this virus. It has filled many with fear, anxiety, and to some extent even panic.

Trust in the Lord

Our faith and trust should be in the Lord.

During my morning devotion I meditated on God’s word and came to the realization that as a believer that I and other believers do not really need to fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Our faith and trust should be in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

God is already in all of our tomorrows.

The future may feel uncertain right now. Worry may be creeping into in your heart but we need to remember this: God is already in all of our tomorrows. He knows our way, and He has a plan. God’s plan is always the best one for us. God never asks us to figure it all out on our own.

He wants us to trust Him, to recognize His leadership and Sovereignty in our lives. He promises to make our pathways straight. Trust in the Lord means to be confident in, to be secure in Him. This is to be done with our entire heart meaning our emotions and mind. Not leaning or trusting on our own understanding or discernment is the most difficult part for many of us to wrap our mind around.

We may not always see what’s ahead, but He does.

We should be acknowledging and recognizing him in whatever we do. His promised result is that He will make our paths straight or smooth. We may not always see what’s ahead, but He does.

There’s great power in trusting Him. Our security should be based solely on Him, not on our circumstances or other people, not on ourselves or our own ways of thinking. He is faithful to lead us as He alone can see the big picture. The words spoken to Isaiah are a great encouragement. This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go (Isaiah 48:17). The Lord will guide you always (Isaiah 58:11).

Walking on the Beach

His Timing is Perfect

We have the assurance and can be confident that God’s presence will go before us guiding and guarding our steps. His timing is perfect and He can bring light and clarity through the dark and foggy times we face no matter how we feel or what our current situation may be.

Casting my axiety

This pandemic has caused anxious times for everyone, but I know I can cast all of my anxiety on the Lord who cares for me (1 Peter 5:7).
