Administrative Assistant

My name is Rachael and I am the administrative assistant at Northwest Bible Church. I began attending NWBC at the age of seven. My husband, Tyler, began attending when he was 17. We met and married at this church, so it has a special place in our hearts.

My testimony is simple. Being raised in a Christ-following home, my father prayed with me every night. One night, when I was five, I felt scared about what would happen when I died. My dad explained the sacrifice that Jesus made for me. I prayed for forgiveness and asked the Lord Jesus to be my Savior that night, then I was baptized at age six.

I continued my spiritual growth in Sunday school, junior church, AWANA, Bible camps, and youth group. (I cannot highly enough recommend that you invest your children’s time in these activities.) As many of us do, I ran into a time of faith questions during high school. The Lord led me to attend a year of Bible college at Calvary University. I wanted to deeply study WHY I believed WHAT I believed. My faith truly became my own during high school and college.

While my testimony may be “simple,” life is not. I cannot imagine my life without the grace and hope of God carrying me through the hard days. I can see the big blessings God gives alongside the trials and so I pray, “Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you” (Psalm 116:7).
